David’s possesses over thirty years of construction experience in a variety of commercial and industrial environments. Mr. George has served in Project Management capacities with major contractor and development companies, an architect and engineering firm, and a major nationwide drug store chain. In these positions, David was also accountable for occupational safety and health compliance for in-house and contractor personnel. During his time with Orion, David has worked on a variety of projects, assisting clients in addressing environmental concerns, including asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, indoor air quality, and site chemical contamination. Large scale asbestos, lead-paint, and radon survey projects include a major chemical facility in northern West Virginia, Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia, and State of West Virginia General Services Administration and Higher Education Policy Commission facilities in multiple locations.

Mr. Young possesses over fifteen years of applied construction safety and health experience. During this time, Roger has supported contractor safety and health efforts at multiple public and private projects, including the National Institute of Health, National Cancer Institute, and University of Maryland. Main areas of responsibility included conducting job-site audits, overseeing sub-contractor compliance, conducting OSHA 10 and 30-hour training for employees and project supervision, and teaching Competent Person level courses in Excavation/Trenching, Scaffolding, Fall Protection Systems, and Incident Investigation. In addition Mr. Young has also provided regional support for a large industrial maintenance/construction contractor servicing clientele including Dow Chemical, and Bayer CropScience and MaterialScience. In this capacity, Roger ensured compliance with Owner site procedures and permitting processes, coordinated weekly safety meetings and employee orientation, conducted required OSHA training, conducted incident and root cause analysis, and provided Qualified and Competent Person training for multiple safety disciplines. Roger was also the coordinator for all construction courses provided by the West Virginia University Safety and Health Extension.

Chris possesses an extensive background in the industrial environment. Prior to joining Orion, Mr. Artrip oversaw environmental, safety and health compliance at multiple metal foundry and fabrication sites in the Tri-State area. In his management capacity, he ensured that site safety and environmental policies and procedures where compliant with Federal, state, and internal requirements by taking in active role in day to day operations, including chairing the site Safety and Health Committee, and participating in internal and third party audits. Mr. Artip’s efforts were rewarded by three years of zero lost time incidents for a location of over 500 employees.

Chris proudly served our country in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Petty Officer, 2nd Class.

Mr. Mitchell possesses over twenty years of applied construction safety and health experience. During this period, Matt has been directly involved with addressing contractor safety requirements on multiple industrial steel structure painting and cleaning projects. Clientele has included DOW, AK Steel, DuPont, Arch Coal, Ashland Chemical, and Cytec. Over the past several years, Mr. Mitchell has also worked as a contract Safety and Health Representative for Bayer CropScience, recently providing contractor oversight for major capital and maintenance outage projects for the Institute Larvin and Waste Water Treatment Units, as well as decommissioning and demolition of multiple production units in the East and West Carbamalation Centers. Most recently, Matt has overseen multiple contractors for a multi-year project at the Constellium Rolled Products facility in Ravenswood, West Virginia, and provided site safety support for a major oil and gas producer.
